Civil war prints for Monica

Monica requested any blocks in civil war prints with creams.  I don't have a lot of civil war or reproduction in my stash but thought these ones would fit the bill.  It does not show in the photo but the friendship star has a sweet little blue trellis print on it that ties in nicely with the blue background.

They will be winging their way to Monica in Texas on Monday

Leena's Little Cedar trees

As always I had fun making these little 6 inch blocks.  This pattern was surprisingly easy to make but quite effective.  Leena requested this block in red, black and white but only 2 colours per block.  So naturally I made one of each. .

I hope Leena likes them,. Quilted hugs, Sue

Received blocks

I lost Medora's e-mail, and I know she posted these here already, but wanted to let her know that I received these pretty blocks yesterday. I love the bright colors on the w/w background which I happen to have in my stash - and I have the same of the blue, but in a black - so I will make a set to go with these. And she included some tiny buttons, charms etc.. which I love to use in embellishing. Thank You Medora,

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

These are the June blocks I made for Sally in Victoria

and a sneak peak of the Jewel Stars for Coralie in Canada

Star Blocks ...

for Medora .. in pastels with the background .. tone on tone .....

and here is what i came up with ... although the colours don't look much like pastel now that the blocks are finished ... but the colours are lovely and soft ....

i do hope you like them Medora ..

hugs

July partners sent off

Yes its that time again, time to partner up and make each other two cute six inch blocks

I am receiving lots of emails from ladies having not received their blocks, and I will help you by following this up, but please please please
I cannot stress enough  BEFORE you spend all the time making and sending a block to your partner email them to confirm that they are swapping this month.

I do ask people to let me know if they no longer want to be part of the group, if they are going on holidays or what ever, but not every one thinks to let me know.

Also, dont expect that everyone is checking their email every day.  Be patient and allow a week for them to reply.  If its your first contact email and they dont reply let me know and i will try and find a new partner that is free to swap with you.

we have 23 members swapping this month, out of 24 registered, Thank you to Coralie for being my double swap lady this month.

I only have 2 members registered for double swaps, which happen if we get an odd number swapping or newbies join up part way through the month - So if you are able and happy to do the occassional double swap let me know and I will add this note to your registration details
