Cornflower Blue

My partner for January is Margaret who is saving cornflower blue, 8 pointed stars on a cream background.
I am really happy with what I have made, I think they are pretty, I hope Margaret thinks so too, and that I have selected the correct shade of blue.

First 6" blocks of 2013 heading to Jen in USA

Jen asked for the 1 inch postage stamp block done in as many colors as possible.  I actually did the block with no repeat of color or design. I amazed myself.  It has been along time since I done this pattern and had fun doing it.  Hope she likes the colors.

Scrappy Blocks for Robyn

Robyn in NSW has requested scrappy blocks with a touch of blue. The touch of blue comes from an Australian print based on an aboriginal design.

From Australia to Canada and back to Australia. I like that!
I hope you'll like it too Robyn!

A Fun Block for Geri

Just finished these blocks for Geri of Washington.  She has requested for any block in 'spring colors' (using her favourite,  green ). It was fun doing these blocks.

Chocolate churns from Mary C in Canada.

These little cuties arrived this week with a lovely dark chocolate batik churn dash.  Perfect for my new quilt churned chocolates.  Thanks Mary

January partners allocated

You should have your new partners details in your inbox with swap partners allocated.  We have only 17 members in the group now, so if anyone is thinking of joining we would love you to play along.  6 inch blocks are a great way to use up those little scraps of fabric and two blocks are made each month, but they don't have to both be the same.

I am just putting the finishing touches to my little sail boat quilt flimsy before I get it quilted and share it with you, I am so pleased with how its turned out, its so cute. This was made completely from blocks received in the past 12 months in the 6 inch group.

17 swappers means one double swap and I have allocated this to Jolanda from Portugal to be my double swap queen this month, and welcome to a fellow Portuguese swapper Teresa joining us in this group for the first time.

If you want to have a double swap (shared around for odd swaps in a month, or if a newbie joins mid month and wishes to start straight away).  Just drop me an email and let me know.

Happy stitching everyone.
